2027 Land Rover Range Rover Expert Review
Reviewed by Bob Hernandez
Luxury SUVs are a common sight on the roads right now, and the Land Rover Range Rover is one of the nameplates that helped normalize this sought-after genre. This full-size luxury SUV offers lavish appointments backed up by the promise that its four-wheel drive system will get owners out of sticky situations. Competitors challenging the Range Rover include the BMW X7, Mercedes-Benz GLS-Class, and Cadillac Escalade.
The fifth-generation Land Rover Range Rover arrived for the 2022 model year, so it’s possible a face-lift is due for 2027. If that comes to fruition, expect a revised exterior and more tech inside the cabin.
This page will be updated with more insights and photos as information becomes available.
The current interpretation of Land Rover Range Rover’s luxury SUV formula blends modern tech with old-school opulence. Although the exterior reads as less ornamental than previous versions of this full-size luxury hauler, the cabin is lined with premium materials . If only its control scheme hadn’t been pared back to the extreme, the high-tech features would be slightly more accessible.
Land Rover tuned the Range Rover for comfortable conveyance, focusing on a cosseting ride that swaddles passengers instead of entertaining the driver with nimble handling. The steering is light, and the Range Rover’s cabin isolates all from the harshness of reality. All powertrains have the grunt necessary to get this three-row SUV moving.
If we’ve correctly predicted that an updated 2027 Land Rover Range Rover is on the way, some of our complaints may have been addressed. The exterior styling could get an overhaul, and a refreshed interior might be accompanied by a redone center console. In any case, the Range Rover will endure as an emblem of status and off-road capability.

MPGs and Range
We suspect fuel economy for the 2027 Land Rover Range Rover will stick close to the 2026 model’s ratings, barring any adjustments to keep up with shifting regulations.
The base-level P400 powertrain is rated at 19/24 mpg city/highway, and range on a single tank is pegged at an estimated 500 miles.
Plug-in hybrid models can drive up to 420 miles of range, which includes 21 miles of electric-only driving. This P550e variant is good for approximately 53 mpg-e.
All standard-wheelbase versions of the Range Rover return 16/23 mpg when equipped with either of the available V-8 options. Stretching to the long-wheelbase variant drops fuel economy to 16/ 22 mpg . The P530 model is good for 452 miles of range, while the P615’s range drops to 428 miles.
Luxury automakers are historically stingy with safety tech, but the Land Rover Range Rover is expected to continue offering a host of driver assistance features as standard equipment.
Automatic emergency braking
Rear cross-traffic alert
Adaptive cruise control
Road sign recognition
360-degree camera
Front and rear parking sensors
Cargo Space and Interior Room
Land Rover is expected to offer the 2027 Range Rover in standard- and long-wheelbase body styles. The long-wheelbase Range Rover is the only style offered with three rows; the standard layout is a two-row configuration.

Unless Land Rover overhauls the interior of the 2027 Range Rover with new displays, the current model’s offering will carry over. Expect a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.1-inch curved infotainment touchscreen to return. Even more certain is the return of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto , which will be accompanied by multiple USB ports and a wireless charging pad.
Lower-level versions of the 2027 Land Rover Range Rover are expected to be equipped with a 14-speaker sound system. Audiophiles will want the available 35-speaker setup from Meridian, though.
As Land Rover’s flagship SUV, the 2027 Range Rover is predicted to keep offering the very best features the automaker has available. Upgrades are expected to include a head-up display, digital rearview mirror, and second-row infotainment screens. Look for the return of the Land Rover’s Body-and-Soul Seat and Sensory Floor technology, which uses transducers to emit low-frequency vibrations through the seats that sync with the music, with similar haptic feedback through special floormats for a fully immersive experience.
The entry-level Land Rover Range Rover SE is expected to return as the base model for 2027 with most of the same standard equipment. It should be powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged inline-six engine. Like all Range Rovers, the SE gets 4WD, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel steering. It rides on 21-inch wheels and is adorned with LED exterior lighting. A panoramic roof, perforated Windsor leather seats, and 20-way powered front seats deepen the appeal of the lowliest Range Rover. All seats are heated and ventilated. Land Rover is predicted to continue charging around $116,000 for the Range Rover SE.

If the 2027 Land Rover Range Rover carries over with the same trim structure as before, it will arrive in four grades: SE, Autobiography, SV, and SV Black. SV models are tempting with the most extreme styling and luxury upgrades, but the Autobiography model has all the luxury you’ll need. Standard features include upgraded exterior lighting, semi-aniline leather, 24-way power front seats with added massaging functionality, the 34-speaker Meridian sound system, and 11.4-inch rear seat entertainment displays as a no-cost option. This trim should begin around $162,000 for 2027.
